Topro Calcium bolus

Topro Calcium bolus is a mineral diet feed especially for cows that are calving. Cows have a high calcium requirement around calving because large quantities of milk are produced. Administer the bolus to reduce the risk of milk fever (hypocalcemia) .

Reduces the risk of milk fever

The Topro Calcium bolus has been developed to reduce the risk of milk fever. Each calcium bolus contains 25.5 grams of pure, easily absorbable calcium and is immediately released in the rumen. In addition to calcium, vitamin D3 has also been added to this bolus. A good vitamin D3 supply is a prerequisite for good calcium management. Furthermore, phosphorus (7.5%) has been added to this bolus. Phosphorus is necessary for the retention of calcium, and a calcium deficiency often also results in a phosphorus deficiency.

Dosage:

Minimum dosage
• 2 boluses 12 to 24 hours before calving or immediately after calving.

Extra dosage
• 1 or 2 boluses 10 to 12 hours after calving.
• 1 or 2 boluses 24 hours after calving.
• 1 or 2 boluses for signs of calcium deficiency.

Dosage after calcium infusion

• 2 boluses 2-12 hours after infusion.
• 1 or 2 boluses for signs of calcium deficiency.
